Healthcare ATS screens are credential screens
Hospital applicant tracking systems filter hard on licensure and certifications — RN, BSN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, specialty certs — plus unit type and EMR experience like Epic or Cerner. If those terms aren't present and correctly placed, the application stalls before a human sees it.
Then the nurse manager looks for scope: what unit, what patient load, what acuity, what you owned. 'Provided patient care' says nothing; 'Managed 6-patient med-surg assignment with 1:4 ratios on a 32-bed unit' places you instantly.
